SHEARS

Blades used for transversal or longitudinal cutting of extruded or laminated products. The blades for shears present some elements of complexity which derive above all from the type of cut and from the environment in which they must operate (mainly cold in the case of laminates, hot in the case of extruded). At Lorenzon, we design and execute the best solution for our customers based on some critical elements in metal cutting:

• The material to be cut
• The thickness
• The mechanical resistance, expressed in Mpa

On the basis of these parameters, we suggest from time to time the best steel to use for the construction of the blades, also according to the type of machine used and the heat treatment to be performed to give the tool the appropriate mechanical properties and resistance to wear.

As always, we put our almost century-old experience at the service of the customer, in order to offer the right compromise in terms of quality, costs and delivery times.

TUBES AND COILS

Blades in different materials, manufactured on customers’ drawings. Different surface treatments are available to enhance wear and fatigue strenght:

• TiN (Titanium Nitride)
• PVD
• TiAIN

Clamping systems are manufactured on customers’ drawings according to the tolerances required.
