Gemini and Kronos in combination: CNC synergies for productivity and flexibility

Ficep Gemini and Kronos CNC lines are designed and built to work both as stand-alone modules and to be combined in a single working center, capable of generating a significant increase in productivity levels and flexibility in the processing cycle of medium and thick plates.

This year at LAMIERA exhibition, Ficep will display the Gemini G32HPE and Kronos KR32HP models combined in tandem to give a tangible demonstration to visitors of how, using this operational tandem, important advantages can be generated for the heavy steel construction industry. In this type of application, the handling of large plates already represents a potential loss of productivity and a safety concern: less material handling means less risks to operators and equipment.

In addition to logistics issues, the integration between Gemini and Kronos makes it possible to optimize the economic investment by taking advantage of a single working bench for two separate technologies and dedicating a single operator using the same interface for both machines.

Gemini is the complete plate processing solution for service centers and steel constructions of all sizes. It processes from light to heavy plates in thermal cutting, marking, milling, drilling, tapping, chamfering and other operations in a single station, ensuring high productivity and precision.

Kronos is a gantry machine for high-definition thermal cutting and oxycutting that is highly configurable in terms of size, technological equipment and operating capacity: a machine dedicated to those who make plates, connection plates, gussets, stiffeners and so on starting from the raw material to the finished part, performing all cutting processes in a single operation.

Gemini and Kronos make it possible to manage the entire information flow both through any software already present in the company and through Ficep Steel Projects solutions, monitoring the process from start to finish and intervening where necessary to optimize the flow.
