MARPOSS

Digitalization capabilities with process monitoring

Process monitoring continues to be an integral part of the digitalization offensive in forming technology. Uniform industry standards such as OPC-UA or MQTT enable us to work together with the customer on the implementation of the digital factory.

The monitoring devices of Marposs Brankamp represent an important source of data and a means of communication to connect the machines to the higher-level management system. When analyzing the stored process data, new algorithms are used to gain insights into the process, the machine condition and the quality of the products. The interaction between the analysis of the process data on the one hand and the production data on the other is an essential step in carrying out preventive maintenance, increasing tool life and achieving reproducible processes. All this, together with quality assurance, represents the most important benefit for our customers.

At this year’s Lamiera in Milan, Marposs will be exhibiting its extensive range of monitoring, control and measuring equipment for metal forming. The focus will be on the C-Thru4.0 software suite, which acts as a powerful interface between the machine, operator, production and resource planning and higher-level ERP systems. Another highlight on show will be TrendViewer, a downstream evaluation and analysis software for analysing process data. It displays and evaluates various process data over an unlimited period of time and thus offers comprehensive data analysis and closes the gaps to SPC control.

The Brankamp X-series devices cover the entire range of punching machines that have the same HMI and the same appearance. Up to twenty-four channels are available to cover the increasing complexity of even simple machines.
