BDF DIGITAL

CNC and DRIVE designed for sheet metal working…and more

ECS was one of the first companies to operate in the CNC market, becoming a pioneering brand in this sector. In 2017, by merging with TDE MACNO (an important brand in power electronics), it gave birth to BDF Digital, and is now able to provide a complete package of control and drives.

ECS’s CNC900S family is highly performing and flexible, featuring a modern and modular hardware architecture with the management of various field buses; it is suitable for any machine tool, thanks to its simple but powerful programming functionalities and ergonomic HMI that offers a pleasant user experience. Moreover, all the CNCs easily integrate into the corporate network thanks to the Windows operating system, making it the ideal platform for Industry 4.0.

The CNC905S model is ideal for sheet metal cutting machines that use technologies such as plasma, waterjet, and oxyfuel cutting. It has pre-wired functionalities for quick installation and a highly customizable HMI; it can integrate Shape CAM®, a software that guides the operator in programming and offers a graphic simulation of the machining. Other features include height control to follow surface irregularities, a database of optimal technological conditions based on the material, and surface mapping for a preventive surface mapping.

For laser cutting, the CNC915S has been designed, which offers advanced performance and maximum flexibility both in 2D and 3D (tube cutting). It stands out thanks to advanced functionalities such as preview, which allows you to view the profile written in the part-program without having to edit it, the machining scheduler, which allows you to run a sequence of programs and include or exclude sections without modifications to the program itself; it also has a technological database to manage cutting conditions according to the material, while the “fly-cut” functionality allows to reduce times without compromising quality.

All CNC900 models have their “digital twin”, namely the CNC900PC simulation software that runs on PC – essential for off-line programming, training, and machining simulation.
